Video Transcript:
– Hello, I’m Attorney Jeff Robinette and I’m here to discuss with you a very important topic.
Is it wise to settle your own personal injury claim?
Now some of you will be speaking with an insurance adjuster as you’re listening to this video and you’re trying to decide whether or not it’s wise to accept the settlement offer that is being made by the insurance adjuster.
Well, before you decide to settle this claim of yours you really need to consider some basic facts.
Fact Number One:
First of all, the insurance adjuster is not on your side. The insurance adjuster is for the insurance company. And insurance adjusters get promoted and even receive bonuses for settling cases at very low amounts. And they are not going to be interested in ensuring that you receive a fair settlement.
Fact Number Two:
insurance companies also have a team of lawyers. They hire law firms and individual lawyers who assist them in researching the law and ensuring the facts are being presented that are in the best favorable light for the insurance company. Which means that you’re not.
Fact Number Three:
Consistently parties that are represented receive far more in recoveries for their injury claims even after paying the attorney’s fees, when they’re represented by a competent legal counsel.
And so, these three facts alone should cause you to pause and give an attorney a call to go over your settlement proposals for your claim. And do this before you sign. After you’ve signed it is too late.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this video and please give me a call, I’ll be glad to discuss with you, your claim and the initial consultation, of course, is free.
