The Morgantown, WV personal injury attorneys at The Robinette Legal Group, PLLC are pleased to support the Thanksgiving Meal of the Fairmont Union Mission.
The Union Rescue Mission in Fairmont, WV served 45,014 meals in 2013, and 783 of those meals were served on Thanksgiving Day. The mission also housed 457 people in their shelter in 2013. These numbers are not just numbers. They represent real people who are hurting and in immediate need of assistance.
The Union Mission addresses the most urgent needs of the neediest among us. The Mission believes that both the physical and spiritual needs must be stabilized before the root problems of homelessness and poverty can be addressed.
West Virginia Rescue Ministries’ purpose is to reach individuals and families with the physical and spiritual bread of life through its ministries of men’s shelter, women’s and children’s shelter, family shelter, soup kitchen, Penny Pincher thrift store, and The Living Room day room in Morgantown.
The Mission provides hot meals to all who wish to come with no questions asked and shelter those who request it with no one turned away because of race, gender, or creed. Once the person seeking help is fed and has a good night’s sleep, the mission works with that person to develop life and problem solving skills, help with overcoming addictions, and recover from homelessness.
One of the mission’s outreaches includes the annual, traditional Thanksgiving meal offered with no cost or obligation to all who will come. The Morgantown personal injury lawyers at the Robinette Legal Group, PLLC are pleased to be a small part of this community effort to provide food and comfort to those who most need it in Fairmont, Morgantown and surrounding areas.
